Who this is for

This is the flagship consultation for someone moving to Germany who has encountered terms such as gesetzliche Krankenversicherung, private Krankenversicherung, Pflegeversicherung, and Familienversicherung but does not yet know which questions apply to their situation. It suits employed people, freelancers at an early planning stage, and couples coordinating different arrival dates.

What we cover

We map your employment status, expected gross income, previous cover, family situation, and intended start date against the main routes into German health cover. You learn who normally pays contributions, why long-term care insurance appears alongside health insurance, and which official questions to ask an insurer or employer.

What is outside the scope

We do not sell, broker, compare, or recommend a specific insurance policy. We cannot determine legal eligibility, provide regulated insurance mediation, inspect medical records, or give tax advice. Where your question requires a licensed insurance adviser, tax professional, lawyer, or statutory insurer, we will say so directly.

Your adviser

The call is led by Lea Winter, a Hamburg-based relocation consultant who has supported international employees and their families through registration and social-insurance onboarding since 2018. Her work focuses on preparing people for informed conversations with employers, statutory funds, and qualified specialists.

Before the appointment

Bring your planned arrival date, employment or self-employment status, approximate gross income, family arrival plan, and dates of previous insurance. Please do not send passports, medical histories, diagnoses, or insurance login details.

After the call

Your recap records the route discussed, unresolved questions, and the order in which to contact your employer, insurer, or specialist. The fee covers one short clarification email sent within seven days. If the facts change substantially, a new appointment may be needed.
