Data we process and why
We process contact details, appointment preferences, messages, billing records, and consultation correspondence to answer enquiries, perform a requested contract, keep required accounting records, and protect our legitimate business interests. We ask clients not to submit medical records, identity documents, or account credentials through the website.
Legal bases
Depending on the activity, processing is necessary for pre-contractual steps or contract performance, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in secure administration and service improvement, or consent where specifically requested. Consent may be withdrawn prospectively.
Recipients, storage, and international transfers
Necessary data may be processed by contracted hosting, email, video-meeting, and accounting providers. We limit access and use appropriate data-processing agreements. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard and assess supplementary protections where required.
Retention
General enquiries are ordinarily deleted within 12 months after the last contact. Consultation correspondence is ordinarily retained for three years after the end of the engagement. Invoices and legally required accounting records are retained for the statutory period, commonly up to ten years. Data may be retained longer when needed for a legal claim.
Your rights
Under applicable data-protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. You may complain to a competent supervisory authority; in Hamburg this is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Rights can depend on legal conditions and retention duties.
